Does anyone know where to find good information and pictures of BMWs throughout history? I just saw a 1950's beemer being ridden around town and it has really sparked my interest in learning more about the history of these bikes. Is there a goos website out there?

Also . . . you could consider riding the 145 miles north to South Sound BMW in Tacoma, WA. I have had very good experiences dealing with them. The staff is great.

How long should a 2004 gel battery last? Is it common for the battery to go flat after 2 weeks not riding? Does very cold weather have any affect on batteries losing juice?

I just bought my r1150r a month ago as my first bike. Have been riding it 45 miles to and from work every day. Tomorrow I am headed out on my first long ride, about 400 miles. Can't wait.
