I'll put in a plug for Marsee "One wear" which includes the mesh jacket with hard body armor in the elbows, shoulders & back, a waterproof overjacket, and an insulated vest. Got one last summer for a cross-country trip and it was good for everything from 110F (well, as good as could be...
