Re: Hey all, new Rockster owner here.
This is not custom paint job. There are some silver and black rocksters around. I think they were sold somewhere in Europe but can't remember more details. Enjoy your new ride...

Re: Wish we didn't need mirrors
You could go for one of those "rear-view" helmets. I believe Reevu makes one but having not tried one before I am not sure how it feels riding with on of those... Or if it is even legal to ride without mirrors, rear-view helmet or not.

Re: Paint Bubble on LHS Cylinder Head
I've had those some time back. Now the paint has cracked and I have flakes falling off from time to time. What surprised me though is the fact that under the paint itself, the cylinder has more or less the same blue color which doesn't make it so bad. In fact I would prefer both my cylinders like th...

Off Road tyres for Rockster
So I recently decided to quit my job and move to one of the Greek islands for a new start. Things have proven better than I expected and I now have time to play around with my Ed80 again. However, the roads here are not as smooth as I would like plus the distances I travel from start to stop last an...

Re: Thinking about painting my Rockster
Haven't been able to see it anywhere on the web but on one of my trips I came across a Rockster painted in a negative Edition 80 color scheme, i.e. replace white parts with black and black stripes with white ones. Although it is usually the other way around, I had to stop and stare for a while. Hate...

Re: How does a bad starter behave?
I also had mine replaced some time back. I would get scratching metal noise after every start which would only get worse as time went by. I had the starter taken apart and cleaned by BMW Service three or four times. It would work fine after every clean but only for a week or so. After a month of tro...

I guess that's what a bike would look like if the Rockster went doggy style on I am not even sure what and left their bastard out to grow on the wild side.

Re: Helmet Crash Tests - SHARP
No argument there. True, you will have to look around before making up your mind on which helmet to go for, read around and of course try one on before you buy. It's just good and reassuring though, that the choice I made a year ago turns out to be a five star helmet. Just an extra point to validate...

Helmet Crash Tests - SHARP
If you wanna know how good your helmet is or if you are in the process of buying a new one, make sure you check the 2008 ratings by SHARP, the UK's Helmet Safety Scheme. It was a very pleasant surprise for me to find out that I own a 5 star helmet. Check the link below for more info... http://sharp....

Re: New Owner....and a little worried, should I be?
Never had a problem with the servo. I drive my Ed80 for four and a half years now with 45K Kms on the meter so far. If you can live with the whining the servo makes I wouldn't worry too much. BTW welcome to the board and congrats on your new ride
