mine does this a sometimes during summer if its hot, and only turned off briefly. Immediately obvious to me it was a pre ignition issue. I always imagined it just has to do with where in the revolution the engine stopped.... dont consider it harmful.

Thx for the input peels. That's what I'm beginning to suspect too as it seems to make the most sense-
