Paint on helmet chipping away

Buy the closest matching touch up paint and ride on or is there a better solution aside from taping and spraying?
or a new helmet i don't worry much about the looks of my Shoei. as long as my noggin is comfortably snug inside. I just clean and wax it every other week or so.
