Clock Alignment

Post by todehnal »

I have a standard 04 naked R1150R. The clock is NOT mounted with the 12, and 6 on a vertical plane like it should be. It is canted counter clockwise approximately 2 minutes. Now, the 00:02, and 00:32 are on the vertical plane. I see a small hex socket for an Alan wrench in the middle, on the back of the clock. I didn't want to go experimenting without some verification. It's a small thing, but I sure would like to straighten it up. Anybody been there and done that??? Tom

Tightening that screw will not work. Personally I have not seen a fix for this. I haven't given it a whole lot of thought though. I remember taking the whole thing apart a few years ago and figured I would just deal with it.
Someone else may have a fix for it. I would be interested to hear it.

Hi,
I had the same issue. Bugged the hell out of me!

I loosened the hex screw and lined up the clock, then I tightened the hex socket while holding the clock in its proper place.

Very easy... And now the clock is straight!
Don't wrestle with a pig. Win or lose, you still get dirty.

Thanks Shake, I was considering going there, but it is nice to know that you had success with it. I will give it a try and post my experience for the next guy
