Spiritual successor of Rockster Edition 80?
The BMW Concept 90. I hope this goes into production somehow.

Heard some rumours about this.... Apparantly the codename is R9T.
Seriously hope they bring it out as I'd very likely be interested (assuming I could afford it!)
Wasn't the Rockster a 'Street Fighter' style though, rather than 'Cafe Racer'? (although I guess the former evolved from the latter).

Streetfighters were "in" when the Rockster was around, Cafe racers are "in" now.riceburner wrote:Wasn't the Rockster a 'Street Fighter' style though, rather than 'Cafe Racer'? (although I guess the former evolved from the latter).
Cool video about the design and execution.

Great video....I think I drooled in my cereal as I was watching it!
Guessing that would run about 20K to own!

I dunno if this is a teaser for the production version of the Concept 90, or it's an unrelated development, but it potentially looks a lot more versatile and practical (handlebars instead of clip ons, for one), but maybe not as gorgeous.

I seriously hope they stick with Telelever, I've come to hate the dive inherent in Telescopic forks, other wise that concept outline looks rather nice!

Me too. It's annoying how much I like Telelever (since it severely limits my "next bike" options).riceburner wrote:I seriously hope they stick with Telelever, I've come to hate the dive inherent in Telescopic forks, other wise that concept outline looks rather nice!
