Start up lights 1997 R850R

Does anyone know if the oil sensor light should light up with the key in the on position before engaging the starter ? or maybe a better ? what lights should come on with the key in this position? Thanks

From the back of my head the only lights going on should be the ABS lights and the batt light.

I have a 1996 r850r and with the key in the "on position" I have the oil light (red) and neutral light(green) on!

And if the tank is empty you'll also have the fuel warning light on ...
