Pretty happy with the way they held up.

Bars look good, seem to work well, and nothing leaked onto the carpet!

Jeremy L,

Judging by the hole in your jeans you may already know this, but with off road bikes it's not IF or WHEN you'll go down, but WHERE and HOW MANY TIMES. Those bars were designed to protect the expensive parts of the engine like the alternator and clutch cover, whose Aluminum cases would otherwise crack and break, causing very expensive internal component damage. Easing the bike down slow-n-easy onto the carpet is a lot different from slamming it down at speed on a hard packed gnarly dirt road or the pavement, which will cause a lot of road rash and bent parts (Handlebars/Levers/Pedals,Pegs, maybe the Forks). At least now the most expensive vulnerable parts of the engine will have decent protection.

BTW, The tip-over vent valve in the top rear of the fuel tank should have prevented liquid fuel from entering the charcoal fuel canister, but if there was some leakage, be prepared for stumbling and stalling, gradually improving to normal, when it is run again.

Sweatmark, thanks!

CycleRob, you're right about it being about when, not if. That's why one inch stainless steel seemed like such a good idea. :)
Venture on.
