Anyone who arrives and does not have a space, we can just send them up to that Greek place for spaghetti and they'll never return.

Trust me on this one guys. There's plenty of room in loop C for all you bums...You just make sure you bring some coins.

Very much looking forward to this ride and am humbled by the knowlege that I will sharing a space with the estimable Il Professore, Mike Cam.

Have a couple of questions about the facilities at the park though. I understand that this is a campground, requiring the use of a tent and related outdoor living acoutrements, but does that also mean we are on our own for some of the more basic necessities?

What comes immediately to my admitedly puerile mind is morning coffee. Is there a comissary or store in the park or do we need to bring our own campstoves and equipment? Are there eating establishments in the area? Most importantly, is there a proscription against the consumption of fermented malt beverages at the park? If not, is there a purveyor of said beverages in the area?

Some of us get up and make our own coffee...in different ways. I simply boil water for a cup of the instant stuff with some hot cocoa thrown in. I think Cam makes some sort of French press version. Pretentious, if you ask me. If you are one of those people who just can't live without fresh brewed java, the town is only about a 3 min ride and there are places there to get some.
As far as brew. There are park rules about it but as long as we keep it hidden in paper bags, etc. nobody really cares. We just can't have it out visible to impressionable children and liberal women folk.
After dark we can pull the hard stuff out and really party down and get naked!

"And then the Police Arrived..."

Potential title to HMSP RR V report.

Charlie:

Hot shower (one stall, two heads - tile floor/curtain); warm place to ....; two electrical outlets at the latrine building. Primitive otherwise.
Park has a lunch/dinner restaurant; town is 3 miles away (3 minutes if you break the law- otherwise 25 mph limit in park// 45 mph limit to town).

Heathens and mavens alike share their coffee each morning beginning before sunrise until departure for rides. Pizza at the campsite one evening is a tradition; possum party later.

Bring a cup.

Ignore the cretins. I'll bring some Sumatran ground for your French press. Life's too short to drink bad beer or coffee . . .

Phil,

Be nicer...

Sumatra coarse ground for the French Press; water perfectly heated to 180F; steeped in grounds for 7 minutes; pressed for 25 seconds; poured into a Titanium Camp Cup.

You know I jes kiddin'! I hope/think Challey knows that.
I myself just this afternoon purchased a can of that pre-mixed Suisse Mocha coffee mix that only requires hot water...for that delicious mocha espresso flavor without the fuss. I have nothing against the "fuss". It's just not for me. Too impatient.

If its sweet, tastes like coffee, and has lots of caffiene, its okay with me.

Edit: Wait a minute! You askin' ME to be nice after what you did to that Wildblue fellow?

Hey, I just heard from my riding buddy here who is coming with me. There is another one coming. So If someone does not have a "bunkie-buddy" for their site and needs one, I'm bringing an extra! :P

These guys are riding GSs but they are cool. Should fit right in.
