Luggage rack install

Probably one of the easist parts to install but I had a question I was hoping someone could help with.

I had the system case mounts (aka those rails with the handles) installed at the dealer when i bought the bike and they must have put these plugs into the holes that the luggage rack screws go into.
The plugs are part # 46547655724 on the parts fiche I believe.

Anyone know of an easy to remove them and keep them intact?
I tried pushing but they are in there pretty good.

Or do i have to drill them first maybe?

Put down the drill and step away from the bike.....

If it's the little round plugs they should pop out with a small screw driver..mine did.

If it's what looks like plugs..on the inside of the rails..where the case tab pushes against..they are not plugs.

yeah thanks for the tip DJ.

them round ones popped right off with a small screwdriver from the inside.

Actually they split in half and popped off easily from each side.

i had thought they were 1 piece as in the parts fiche and was pushing with my thumb i be luggage racking in no time.
