That's how I met TonyT and his crew and it's now a family affair, well past motorcycles......

The Rally is like a tornado.... you will get swept up, and have a great time, purely via inertia, just have to get in the path :)

(Man was that a bad analogy or what?)
Dudes! Looking forward to seeing everybody ! I'll be riding down on Wednesday early am from Central NJ with Big Josh on the LT and Tony K Bike on his GT. We may have another LT rider (Don D) whom I met on a Meetup riding group. Feel free to join our merry little band along the way.

Steve, absolutely - is your cell number the one that ends with 5708 ? That's the last one I have from when I stopped at your house..

Mine is nine zero eight - two one seven - nine six one eight.

And you don't owe me a thing buddy - but I'd be happy to tip a few back with you (and the other esteemed members of this community).

You got it Tony. I don't use it much as I only have 50 min per month but will save them all for the rally. I hope Sprint has service down there. [-o<

I stopped off at the Johnson City fairgrounds on my home from someplace a few weeks ago...and I hate to break this news to you...but that is already inscribed on the wall of the mens bathroom there.

I'll be departing eastern KY on Wednesday, July 16th and will self /camp that night on site @ the rally.Little Havana/Sherpa whatever, is too rich for this guy. I am signed up for the Bush's Bean Tour for 7/17 & working registration that eve.,starting @ 4p.m. & all are welcome to set up beside me (after the Bush's Bean Cookout/tour that day!) IF your man enough! Now days I'm used to home cooked soup beans ,etc., so maybe it will be a trip back to the days of youth, when me and my buddies used to eat chili con carne & beenie weinies out of a can while fishing & hunting and then compete for honors.Of course this is in reference to the "musical fruit"!

Tennessee is a long ride from Arkansas going West to East. I've done it many time on I-40.

Anyone mapped out an alternative? Suggestions???

Take US 64 all the way across Tennessee. Pick it up east side of Memphis. Turn northeast on 411 at Cleveland all the way to Johnson City. Much nicer roads and just about as fast with lots of scenery.

+1 on US 64. Not nearly as many trucks as I-40.

RB and I took it when we left Arkansas a couple of years ago.

I just signed up and plan on camping. As far as travel it is a good 8-10 hrs I think from Cleveland. I'm not sure if I could get it done in one day or maybe spend the night in WV (Princeton) then come in on Thursday morning. I hear to have a chance to win any door prizes you must be there on Saturday. So I might start to head back Saturday evening or try to shoot the whole trip on Sunday.
