Temp Sensor

Post by AZBMWRIDER »

I have an '02 R1150R, had hard starting on a cold engine , now that the temps here in Phoenix have warmed up to overnight lows of low 60's F, the hard starting issue is gone .
Other than the temp sensor on the air filter box, is there any other sensors .
I've looked at parts sites, realOEM and I can't find any others .

I believe there is an O2 sensor screwed into the top of the cat.

The air box temperature B9550 and oil temperature B9561 sensors are only such measurements on R1150R.

Fuel injectors clean? Fouled/poor spray characteristics mean low vaporization under cold conditions.

The airbox temp sensor finally tested bad, open .
I had to overhaul a throttle body on the right side in December, removed both injectors and they were clean, no deposits on them at 85,000 miles .
Had a bit of trouble finding the temp sensor, none of the dealers in Arizona had any found one at Euro Motoelectrics in Denver .
The prices at the dealers was $85-$105, Euro Moto, $35 plus shipping cost .

I bought new stick coils from Euro Moto a couple years ago for my RT. Good folks to deal with. Half the price of BMW.
