left hand heated grip issues and new bars

i have been having issues with my left hand heated grip .it died on me a few months ago
i resoldered the wires on the heat pad and it worked a few times ,but died again so i deceided it must be close to where i soldered where the problem is.I then scrapped the top layer of plastic off with a cable knife and soldered a piece of wire in to act as a bridge over the faulty circiut track ,now im sure i have fixed it for good as the pad reads 4ohms as it should.
I have also have the most comfortable bike ever after fitting yamaha fz6s bars and 25mm riseres to my bike
i did 1000km comming from a superbike race i met various bikers on my way after about 800km a lot of them said they cannot continue as the were too tired i was ready to do another 1000 . tried to upload photos but can see how on this page.
