Custom Exhaust

Post by Radek »

As many have said on this forum, the R1150R stock muffler is not very exciting, so I figured I would build a custom one (have done so for other bikes). Next, I have to consider the potential need for any adjustments to the FI map, w/ stock or aftermarket (e.g., Dynojet).

I will post pics when it's done!

Stay tuned ...

PS: HID projectors and other farkles are in the works ...

Hello Radek,

there are already many aftermarket exhausts available but if you want to build one for your own pleasure and without any commercial interest please go ahead. Tuning-chips, powercommander and alike have one thing in common. They enrich the mix (and in the case of chips lift the rev limit). It is always advisable to go that route but just because of changing the exhaust it is not really necessary.

It is however always a good idea to let your engine breathe better (that includes the input and the output). And in that case a fuel enrichment is a good idea.
