On the bright side, it looks like the `08/`09 Rotax powered chain gang bikes may be getting a new chain!

I spoke with a member at our BMW MOGA club meeting last week who owns a 2009 F650GS twin and he had one of those VIN numbers. The dealer replaced his chain and both sprockets under the recall. I need to call them since mine was made in July of '09 even though its a 2010 model. I might get a new chain out of this.

*Update July 25: I called the dealer and mine does not get the new chain deal. They do have me down to re-route that hose and replace the air filter. Sadly, I already spent the money myself on a new air filter.
