Laconia in the rain

I think there has never been a year that I attended Laconia
where it hasn't rained,but this year was special. Sat and Sun. 700 miles in a downpour. Don't get me wrong, I'd do anything fora chance to take that beautiful ride. This year myself,brother and nephew took the plunge and in spite of the deluge and the light turnout at the track, we still had a great time! Except maybe comming over hogback mountian at 10:00 in a downpour, so we could get a room at the Hampton Inn, just to find out there were no rooms left. So much for calling ahead:-) Any way, we did find a room at the "Bates" motel and Norman the proprieter was very nice. The ride home Sunday down route7 to 22 was perfect....unroll the rain started. All in all , a great trip,but then again,I never remember having a bad one .
