Ride and windshield swap test, Aurora CO???

Post by gersh10 »

I live in Aurora CO and am looking for others who would like to test out windshields. I just bought a Cee Baily's 20" and would like to try a BMW tall. I'm getting to much buffeting and am looking try other windshields before spending any more money. Also wouldn't mind trying a ZTechnik's, or what ever else what is available for the R1200R...
I work weekends and am off Mon, Tue and Wed...

anyone interested just reply or drop me a PM.

Try laminar lip.com for a add on to your existing windshield. I have one on my r850r and love it.
Good Luck!

Yes I tried the sport shield and didn't care for it. I also checked out the laminar Lip and didn't see anything to fit a Cee Baily's shield.
Thanks for the suggestions.

For me, the "Tall" BMW shield simply moved the turbulent air up to the top of my helmet. Currently I use a CalSci tall screen modified by adding a 1" spacer behind the lower mounts. This makes a nice quiet space for me without the buffet.

Ka5ysy: Would it be possible for you to post a close-up photo of your lower mount spacer? You see, I had a little trouble making a spacer longer than 1/2" without having the mount part company with the loop on the windscreen bracket. And did you have to extend or bend the upper arms of the mount? Thanks...
