Patty & I arrived last night at 10:35 pm without incident. The trailer made all the difference, as we arrived refreshed.

See you all during the next few days.

Ride safe!

FYI..........As you come off US 11 onto the side street and into the drive way, there are some gravel patches so be aware.

GS riders; please disregard.

I'm planning on arriving Saturday afternoon unless I can plan a meet-up with any of you out on the road. What are the planned rides for Saturday? I know US 39 is fun pretty much from Marlinton all the way into Lexington and will plan on "arriving" from that direction unless something else is proposed.

Ride safe tomorrow - I'll be wishing I was already out there but have some other plans I need to take care of.

Looks like I won't make it there tonight, Thursday. I have a slight electrical problem with the bike. All the lights go on and off intermittently. Just ask Mike. We passed each other and stopped with him last night in PA on the way down and he pointed out that I had a problem. All lights, headlight, turn signals and the brake lights go on then sputter off then on again. Thought I had the issue resolved this morning but it came back in the way to Antietam. Kevin and I are now holed up at a Motel 6 in Charles Town WV and have the bike torn apart. If I resolve it I will be down tomorrow. If not I'm heading home but Kevin will probably be down tomorrow to join you. I hope I can find the issue.

Sorry to hear about the electrical gremlins Tom. Let's hope for the best that it gets resolved and you can make it to Lexington.

I got home at 6. Great to see everyone. Had a great ride back only 10 miles on the interstate and no rain, or flats.

I got home around 9pm or so. I was in the loop led by Doc. About 225 miles I think. Last 60 miles was in rain. Still a great time!
The dinner was fun and like you said Jeff.....it was indeed great to see everyone. My ride home last nite was only 30 miles and by then most of the rain had moved out. My thanks to Tom (ctRider) for putting on a great Bash!

I got back around 1:30. After missing all the rain for the riding Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Rain Karma caught up to me today and the last 3 hours were in the rain. Discovered I need new rain pants!

Great weekend of riding and good to see everyone that made it. I will download and post my few pictures later. I kept forgetting to take pictures of the bikes on yesterday's ride, let by Tom the the 1150R but outnumbered by Yamahas! :D

Below is a link to my pictures but before you click on it, I would like to point out some history of this event for the newer members or those who have never come to one of these. The first one was at Deal's Gap (The Dragon) in 2004. 25 or so of us there, almost all on R1150Rs. But BMW made the last one in 2005. By the 2017 Bash, many have moved on to other model BMWs or other brands but keep coming anyway. And bringing friends on whatever they ride. All are welcome. My '02 R made 11 of the 14 Bashes. This year was my 12th but on a quite different bike, which will be obvious in the pictures! ;)

So if you are on this board but ride something else besides a R1150R (i.e. Beakster) pay attention to the Groups Rides for next year and come riding! Bring friend! And enjoy riding, visiting and eating and drinking adult beverages (after the riding is done, of course!) Next year's location has been chosen and will be announced in the future but it will be a great time!

Now for some pictures. The first one if from Bash I, just to show some history and to establish my bona fides as an R rider!

It was great to see everyone again. I had a great weekend. I got home from Lexington in record time after making the mountain run to Buena Vista with no traffic. And I didn't get shot or arrested!

Made it home this afternoon after a damp ride home from Winchester. It was great to see everyone and glad that the weather mostly cooperated. The venue and riding in the area was fantastic. Looking forward to next year in Cumberland, MD. Thanks to everyone for making the annual dinner such a hit with all the great door prizes that everyone donated.

I had a dry ride home and made the most of it I could by riding the blue ridge parkway from Buena Vista up to Rockfish gap. My front tie is now worn past the wear bars; planning to get another one ordered soon.

It was great seeing everyone at the bash and looking forward to next year!

Great job goes to bash master, CTRider! Thanks for planning it!

I made it home yesterday ~7pm. Ran into mist and heavy fog from Monterey to VW border, then steady rain on most of 47 into Parkersburg. Otherwise clear sailing.

Good to see everyone. Looking forward to next year.
