no one has posted since January... and not many posts at that either. maybe the bike is so damn good that there is not a lot of need to share information on farkles, fixes and fantasy.

agreed. aren't we lucky (so far) to have such an amazing bike? 7000 miles and zero issues. i've traded bikes with riding buddies on day trips and they are amazed on how smooth, fast and techno the new R is.

it will take a heck of bike to knock this one of its perch in my garage.

I look in a couple of times a week to see if anything new has been posted.
There does seem to be quite a few forums for BM's & I'm on a few, a lot are quiet too.
The R is an amazing bike & I enjoy reading about it.

So I lurk too, but have nothing worthwhile to share. This bike is really great, what can I say?

I think I saw a kit to mount the F800 bags listed on A&S BMW website.

For fuel mileage, over the last 30 tanks I am averaging 52.9 mpg.

I test rode an RS from the dealer and loved it. Can't afford a new one right now. Pricing seems out of line. I don't know if the handlebars would need to be tweaked, but I did notice a little pressure. Maybe I just need to keep my elbows loose, or it could use a riser. Looks like a few more thousand miles will go onto my 08 R1200R.

The mounting brackets are different than the ones for the R12LC. I would like a set of the smaller bags but not at the expense of new mounting hardware and not being able to swap out large or small bags without changing hardware.

This is not a troll, but I find this very strange. Just a few posts from a half dozen individuals in six months about this long-awaited model (which I was, and still may be, considering buying). I'm on a Guzzi (Guzzi!) site that, on average according the moderators, draws 1000 VIEWERS AT ANY GIVEN TIME. How can it be that nobody wants to talk about these bikes?
