I survived but some part didn't.

Post by Hawkeye »

Hi guys and galls.
I am finally starting to get my a into g and fixing my bike after hitting a deer gate doing 120Ks plus.
I am trying to find some parts and am hoping someone might be able to help me. No luck on ebay.
What I am after is the whole dash or parts. Every thing works apart from the clock but there are lots of broken plastic bits inside.
The other thing is the LH dash and headlight bracket 46637694749 is the number.
If anyone can help me out that would be fantastic.

Breaker, breaker, C.W. McCall is your only source - a yard which "parts-out" in US parlance. Or a specialist BMW Motorrad used-parts firm like Motorworks in Yokk-shurrrrr.

They break BMW bikes all the time - you should see the size of their enormous almacen up the road from their main office in a former chapel. And are an experienced international-shipping supplier. I use 'em all the time, quickly & efficiently shipping used bits for me from the UK to Spain at very reasonable rates.

Speak to one of the headset team on their international number +44-1484-35.36.00. Avoid UK breakfast time as they'll be busy. They'll need the year of the model and preferably the last six digits of your bike's VIN. See the oblong plate on the right-hand front casting of the frame just under the throttle side of the handlebar.

Or you could save the phonecall-time by previously looking up the various ~BMW part numbers for the bits you need on the REALoem motorcycle parts fiche online.

Buena suerte,

AL in s.e. Spain
This is the list of people I'd trust with my bike
