Abs light on

Post by bhmav8r »

ABS light on my 2008 R1200R stays on. :(

Haven't had any problems before. Today was first time to ride after about four months.

Searched the board and found out about the ABS issues with the motor and probably a rebuild by Module Masters.

I plan to take it to a dealer (there is not one currently in my area but should be a new one in a few months) for the fuel strip and fuel pump recall and have the codes read/cleared.

My question is - what else can I trouble shoot beforehand?

Thanks in advance! =D>

Check your battery voltage and make sure it's healthy, I've seen a failing battery throw ABS faults.
Also make sure the ABS sensor are clean and all the connections secured, I've had the ABS light come from a dirty sensor.

Good luck!
