There is a picture of a white bike on the first page of the R1200R photo gallery thread. It is the second bike on the first page and also the January calendar bike for 2010. It's the bike with every aftermarket part known to man. I have tried to paste a picture of the bike below but may or may not have succeeded.
Can someone tell me who makes or sells that fairing? It appears to encapsulate the instrument panel of the R1200R very nicely which leads me to believe that it fits pretty easily. Does anyone know if that is true or not?
I have one more fairing question which I will post in a separate message momentarily.

Well my efforts to post the picture of the white bike worked. Now I'll try a black one. This is also a picture taken from the first page of the R1200R photo gallery thread. It's a picture of a black bike with a black fairing. The fairing appears to be painted on the lower portion and tinted on the upper portion with a small bmw logo in the upper right. Between the painted section and the tinted section there is a white pinstripe.
I am fairly certain this is a BMW sport shield that has been painted, pinstriped and had a Roundel affixed. Am I correct? Is this a do it yourself with Krylon black and clear coat project or is it better left to a professional? Does anyone have any advice on getting paint to adhere to the material(s) used in the sport shield? I'm thinking I would mask it, sand the portion to be painted with 800 grit, shake the paint can vigorously can, spray on white paint to match my bike, paint the white pinstripes by hand to match the pinstripes on my white bike and then spray it with clearcoat. Any issues with insuring paint adheres to the material that I would need to consider?
I welcome any input.

Well the second photo IS of the standard BMW "sport" screen. I really like how mine works.
The bike in the first photo has a screen from another bike, I believe it was a yamaha. It was discussed in a thread around a year ago. Maybe someone else here can find the thread, as I'm not too good at getting the "search function" to find what I want...
