Site getting hacked? Or significant technical problem. My earlier post here is not in history.

I don't know if Doug is still running this site, but if so, Doug, are you aware of this problem? Any ideas as to what might be going on?

Ok. Now the posts are disappearing off of the Disappearing Post thread.

The name of the sub-forum yesterday was "-R1150R". Today "R 1 1 5 0 R". Something definitely going on.

The moderators are attempting to defend against spam bots. It is possible that posts are getting accidentally deleted, as we are attempting to clean hundreds of spam posts a day. We apologize for the inconvenience. Doug is searching for a technically savvy member to assist with upgrading the board, and IMHO, we should install captcha, so every poster has to authenticate as a human to post.

I honestly figured the site owners were tired of running the site and were trying to kill it by deleting threads.

My last thread reviewing my equipment on a sixteen day ride with pictures is gone. Had a couple of responses and the three pictures disappear. Figure it will be my last attempt at using this site for awhile.

As many of you know, the R***R topic at ADV is also a good place for our Roadster/Rockster posts.

Hi,

1. The forum is stable, it was never unstable.
2. There are Russian Bots spamming the board, and it takes work to keep it clean. Hundreds of happytime posts a day, and the delete mechanics are not exact. Hence, the subject of this thread. Unlike recent fake news, our Russian bots are real.
3. The board needs an software upgrade, and we don't have the skill set on hand to complete it.
