Boxer earned his right to skip this year. Somebody else needs to fill that niche.
Plus (or alternatively) We do not NEED a t-shirt (at least I don't). My idea would be engraved Roadster keyrings for each attendee. BMW Roundel logo and the Date/Event data or similar ideas.... $25 per item max.
E.g.

or the like...

Re: I need a volunteer for this year's shirt!!!
I was thinking about making up motorcycle license plate frames with R1150r.net engraved on it.. Probably just black plastic with white lettering.. maybe some color in there..BMW logo, etc. They could be relatively inexpensive to have made up and would bring in a decent income for the site. I havent looked at the #'s but I would guess they'd be in the $15-$20 range. Is anyone interested in this?

Doug,
I'd use one for my front plate bracket.

Doug,
If you make the license plate bracket, can I suggest makeing two sizes (cage and bike)?
Then I'd be in for one each.

Coffe cups? Mugs? I like the one I got at the BMWMOA Rally (WI) last summer, and it sure came in handy!
There are several sites on the web that do these pretty inexpensively from custom artwork.
http://www.kodakgallery.com is one I've used.
Just tossing ideas out. You might want to toss this idea out, too

I would certainly pony up for a license plate frame.

well maybe we can proceed with doug's idea...that way he can raise some money for the board.
for the guys attending the bash, we'll still work on a shirt or other keepsake.

Ya, we could do both.. I could make 100 or so plates and then just sell them through out the year..scottybooj wrote:well maybe we can proceed with doug's idea...that way he can raise some money for the board.

I like the alternate ideas to a t-shirt that would commemorate the event and the license plate frame also! My t-shirt draw is poised to explode at any moment anyway!
Bash coffee mugs and license plate frames for the cage and scoot sound great! No worry about having to order XXXL sizes either!

I admit my shirt drawer is bulging also. I already have my plate holder for life, so maybe the coffee mug? Oh forget it. Let's ride!

Re: I need a volunteer for this year's shirt!!!
All I want to say about T-Shirts is that I miss being able to buy them. My R1150R.net shirt and my first Beakster Bash shirt were both purchased from http://www.cafepress.com. They are now kinda grungy and a little big because I am a little smaller.
The cafepress site worked well because they print the shirts when you order them and had sizes up to 4XL. Doug, you should really look into this as I think they mail you a check with the proceeds from time to time. I know FiremanLI or whomever went awol, but all you have to do is upload the images, they'll print it on t-shirts, keychains, mouspads, clocks, etc.
DeansBMW and Boxer have done great jobs with the shirts in the past but they were one shot deals, cafepress or some similar site provides on-demand service. I was pleased with my experience and wish I could repurchase some of those old shirts.

Would anyone be interested in starting a store like the cafe up again? I just dont have the time to manage it along with all of the other website duties. I think it is a good idea though.
