Highway Peg Brackets

Post by TunaPete »

Greetings,

I am considering installing a set of Hawks Products highway peg
brackets on my R1150R.

Have any of you experienced any problems with this type of bracket? In
particular, I am concerned about using the valve cover bolts for
something other than their original intended use.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

TunaPete - a good question. I am looking to add highway pegs this year. Hawks specifically. I did notice on Sierra BMW's site that they offered other brands of highway pegs. But apparently these are not compatible with post-2004 two spark models (which mine is!). I notice on the Hawk web-site that they mention their adapters are compatible with "earlier models" of the R. Which leads me to the question, are the Hawk pegs compatible with the two spark cylinders?
