Dunno why it needs it, but apparently, BMW thinks it does.
I've seen a few R1100Rs with them, but exactly zero 1150s with them installed.
Maybe the steering head angle is steeper (quicker steering), or something unforeseen in the new telelever.....

I cant imagine much more horrible than the scenario you laid out for us. There was a similar tragedy in my own family. I was very young at the time so I never knew the whole story but my sister in law's brother was killed on a bike. That is why her and my brother are among the few fully geared Harle...

Dang that there is something about the color black on a BMW motocycle!!! That dark silver does nothing for me. Superfical stuff I know but esp after my gaff with the oil cooler I hardly feel competent to comment on much else... Is ist my imagination or is that left side bag full size??? No mo...

Make sure you've turned the key all the way round.... Can't emphasize that enough!! I've tried locking down my cases and though the tab looks like its all the way in, if it is just a hair out of alignment the handle wont close properly. Keep working the key, open and close a few times and see if th...

I think I would just pull out the cell and dial 911. When the guy asks you what you're doing, tell him you're calling the cops because he's harassing you on public property. It's always the person makes the call who gets to be the plaintiff. Love the idea but how bout call 411 for the number of the...

For the love of the metal hammering gods and pavement sweeping demons, did they finally put self-cancelling signals on that thing? In a day when they can squeeze the last fraction of hosepower and torque from a motor, install a catalyst system to save the environment, and reduce the weight 50 pound...

A couple years ago my brother took his and his wifes F650's to FL from VT in the back of his full size Chevy pickup. I always thought the color matched cases just looked real sharp. Not that the black looks horrible but those pics DJ posted and others I've seen from the K bikes just look IDK, snazzy!!!

DJ, do you still have the step by step to make those garage hangers?? Could you repost them?? Thanks!!

That Zanfel is amazing stuff IF AND ONLY IF it is used according to the directions!! It's pricey but well worth it for relief. Re: New riding technique!

Yesterday, as I neared the house after my 360 mile run for breakfast (see the Geezers do Boise tread in Group Rides), I saw coming my direction a cruiser with the rider wearing shorts, a skid lid and flip flops. Nothing else. Sadly, that is not anything unusual around here. But as I lifted my hand ...

I agree with Boxer, this is on the new guy. Thats alot of bike to be muscling around even lightly busy streets w/o much saddle time. I consider myself lucky to have been able to spend my first months on the relatively bare roads of VT. It was enough to give me time to acclimate to the bike and not h...

These are from the end of last October, the beginning of wintertime around here. Just some pics I had on my Canon G5 that I finally found my power cord and USB cable to connect it to my computer.
