Re: Beakster Bash 17- May 14-17 - Fayetteville, WV - CANCELED

That means we have to have two (2) Bashes next year. Right? Fall would work as well.

Possible Electrical Glitch

Hi all. Its been a while since I posted here. Forums in general have declined to the deep web I believe. Anyway, I had to store my Lil Chubb outside with a small cover on it for the past 5 weeks of the covid lockdown. It was at some friends' apartment in Acworth and exposed to the weather...with jus...

I guess I am out as well. Thought it might work, but alas. However, if things open up and Watoga can be used, I'm up for convergence of the camping kind at Watoga later on.

Jeff, I was considering trailering up but have held off cementing those plans for obvious reasons, but if the consensus is that things will be opened up enough to make the trip I will go ahead and plan to come. I haven't reserved yet. How late can we cancel the reservations should it fall through?

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

We recorded another phone-in podcast yesterday and I got it published today. I don't know if anyone knows Ian "Scoobs" Scobie but he is the British fellow who lives in Georgia and goes to lots of rallies. He usually wears a kilt at the rallies and has become the head of the Friday night ch...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

Podcast number 10. Eric Chatham is the guest. For you Hungry Mother riders, Eric cam along once or twice with the Georgia group. He now lives out of a motor home and travels around America. You might find it of some interest.

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

The 9th episode has been published and even though we had fun making it, it isn't as good as the last one. We continue to have problems getting guests to join us for a discussion/interview. We can take phone calls now, so if you want to be a guest, let me know and I will get the other guys together ...

Re: Am I imagining it?

I'm guessing the issue around the disappearance of the photo album has more to do with scam and hacking than the cost of maintaining it. The intrusions on a forum like this by scammers, hackers and spammers is phenomenal because of the inherent vulnerabilities. The use of the photo album, or lack th...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

Here is the published podcast that we recorded yesterday. Charles is one of our riding friends from Georgia and his discussion turned out to be quite humorous, and it gave me some ideas of how to handle future call-in guest interviews. Check it out! We will probably make Saturday our regular day for...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

For anyone who might be available to call in today, we are getting the hosts together to do some recording for podcasts. I'll have the equipment warmed up and the phone connected. You can call my number about 3:15 central time and we'll have a short discussion about...well, just about anything reall...

You need to update this post. The current fee is $85 or $65 if registering before 4/15. This post is misleading.

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

When it comes to audio technology I must confess I am a few cards shy of a full deck.LOL I've watched a few YouTube videos on this topic of recording from Skype, phone, etc. but I feel like I've made a major breakthrough being able to record from the phone and get a reasonably good track. To do Skyp...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

Riceburner! Are you kidding?!? I would LOVE to have non-US riders on the show. When you come to the states in May, just ring me up and we can arrange a time slot where you can phone in and do an interview. It only takes about 15 or 20 minutes to lay down some recording tracks. The rest I do in post ...

Motorcycle Related Podcast

I haven't been very active on this board since I traded my R1150R and I miss the neighborhood. Lil Chubb has been very good to me since I bought her in 2010 and I now have about 55K miles on her. I have retired to the backwoods of south Alabama and don't ride near as much. Many of you might recall m...

Re: Throttle Hard to Twist

There's a throttle cable junction box under the seat right behind the battery/ABS compartment. The cables down there connect in a way unique to this bike and can get all gunked up with oils and road dirt. The throttle cables themselves are teflon coated and need no lubing, but where the cable end fe...

MThomas, your ad from a year ago says it has 32,500 miles. This year it has 31K. Have you been riding it backwards? Can you tell where to view pics?

Re: 2004 R1150R Fuel Leak Unique Situation?

It has been a while since I played around with the R1150R, but I DID have leaking fuel lines by the QDs and it was leaking out onto my right toe/footpeg area, NOT back on the center stand. Without seeing it and just based on info you have posted here I would go with AZBMWRIDER from a few posts back....

Re: Beakster Bash "Sweet" 16!! - Franklin WV 5/15-5/19

I had a great time seeing everyone again and riding those "perfect" roads. My ability to ride 900 miles to a Bash has sadly gone away, but I have plans in the works to use alternate methods to transport me and my bike those distances in the future. I rode the 950 miles home in 2 days and i...

Re: Budget for Riding Season

Its not just gas that you have to budget for. You have motel or camping fees. Tires. Food and drink on the road. Tolls and possible tickets. Oil changes. It can run over a grand or more for a complete very active riding season. I think about it like it the expense of a vacation. A vacation just for ...

Re: Old Fourm members

Back in the fall of 2002 I had just bought a 2003 R1150R and was checking out web forums which was a fairly new and exciting concept then. I ran across this fellow on a Harley forum. Patrick! He suggested I come over to R1150R.org so I did. My bike was traded at 80 some odd thousand miles in 2009 fo...
