The el cheapo option is to go with a chrome tip w/adapter for <$10 Weight reduction....whatever the muffler weighs Downsides, louder and the left case looks goofy with no muffler filling the gap. Probably no HP gains though since the cat's still in place.

Well a lot of it depends on the ambient temps. If it's say over 50 the majority of the year, a heavier oil is fine. If you don't ride but during the summer months then that's prolly fine too.
