All mine have 90 wt hypoid, dealer recommended. Found the synthetic stuff made them extremely loud/noisy.

Road Crown, they all do it.

Those roads in Oregon and Washington sometimes will surprise you as to how bad they are without any warning. Very hard to pick up going in and out of the shaded areas.

The top case could just be a matter of being out of tolerance (closed without lining up) for so long that once put back correct it will go back into the correct memory shape.

Roadsmarts 2 will get the job done but the Pirelli Angel GT's have much better performance in every category.

I only use my BMW hard bags on long trips. I use BMW tail bags, large (extended trips) and small (daily riding) and they work excellent for my usage.

Your Battery isn't any good, replace it.
