Re: magnetic tank bag

One thing about magnetic tank bags.....the magnets pick up grit which will then scratch your paint.

Re: New potential owner, looking at an R100R today

I found it better for me to own an R12R and a KLX 250 that I immediately bored to 351. Although, I've ridden an F800GS and found it very comfortable; I could go anywhere on it and never get tired in the saddle. Loved it !!!

+1 with bmorehead. These machines take about 6,000 miles to run in but then they are like silk.

Mine is fully restored so, it would no doubt bring $ 7,500 at a minimum; likely a couple grand more on ebay. I'd let it go for 7,500 to avoid going to ebay.

Ric, sorry but you didn't clear up anything for me. That H2 brought back memories of I guy I knew when I was just a kid. He had one like yours but it was blue, can't remember the year, he always boasted how scary fast it was. He wrecked it twice and broke many bones.....man I wanted one of those!! I...

Love the RD400!

When I had to get the BMW as a shopping bike, it meant that I had to make space in the garage, so my RZ250 (in fluro Pink) had to go. <sob>

very possible, that it was under 35 at speeds around 90, but in general it was about 42 Ha Ha....I hate to do this to you man.....but....thermal couples dont measure wind chill.... They just measure temperature...which doesn't vary with wind speed. Re: Pistols

For me, home and on-the-road protection, it's all about small, light, easy to conceal. I use to carry a S&W 38 light-weight body gaurd. It, and this Ruger LCP 380 will slip easily in your pocket. It's plenty strong enough and much easier to live with and use than a huge 9mm. http://www.ruger.com...

Re: '09 R12R Micro Flooter Lights from Wunderlich ???

It does look OEM....but.....if one is going to have an extra set of lights installed, why switch them. Why not save the money and just have them come on with the headlight ? Why turn them on & off ?

Re: '09 R12R Micro Flooter Lights from Wunderlich ???

Very pleased! I've had them 18 months now. The kit is very discreet but throws a lot of light. Mine are angled to light the 'gap' between the bike and the high-beam cut-off, so as to throw light to the LH side so I can see the edge better on country roads, escpecially on low beam with oncoming ligh...

ThX for all your input. I like the looks and SS of the Touratech Crash Bars. BTW....I'm a long time Jap sportbike rider and can take my R1200R to it's limits. I'd no doubt scratch any bar set just in hard leans. So, one doesn't have to have an S1000RR to enjoy the capabilities of any bike...and the ...
