Re: First Ride Review

I'm still waiting for more authentic ride reports on the new R and RS. Hopefully both will be available in the spring for test drives :-)

Re: BMW Motorrad Site...Neat Thing to Do

They are the same bike but the RS has wind protection. I'm going to test drive one when available and make up my mind then. The new engine is enticing. The fact is that most r12r owners have spent a lot of time and money discussing windshields and helmet options to cut the wind, if the RS takes care...

I'm thinking along the same line :D

I see the turn signals are different, single control for right left and cancel.

Re: R1200 Water Cooled

It says "BMW Motorrad Integral ABS (part-integral), disengageable". Does that mean linked brakes, I think so. Nice!

I like the blue and also the red and white configuration.

Looks like a single radiator, not two like the GS version.

Re: 2015 R1200R Water Boxer

I'm still not convinced that they'll drop the the telelever on the next R1200R. On a niche retro-appeal model like the R Nine T, it makes sense, but on the main line models, not so much. The new GS and RT models retain the telelever. Why not the the R? Yes, good question. I hope the telelever remai...

Nice perspective in this article I came across comparing RnineT and r1200r
http://www.bikerglory.com/2014/05/bmw-r ... ne-t-pt-2/

The r12r is still BMWs best kept secret :-)

Re: 2015 R1200R Water Boxer

I translated that page but can't tell if that is just an artist impression. We should know soon about 2015 models from official BMW sources.

That picture does look good, if the new R looks anything like that I like it.

The translation also talks about a smaller 900cc RnineT
