Any X-Monster owners out there?

I am a little stricken with the looks of the Ducati Monster. Have any of you guys or gals owned a Monster and could give me a comparison with the R1150R and the Monster you owned? Acceleration, feel, comfort, fun factor, etc.

Thanks

Disconnect the wire from the boot before pulling the boot off. When the boot releases from the plug you stand a chance of damaging the wire when you statch it after the slack is out.

53,640 on my 04 Roadster.
Only problem other than normal wear items was I had to replace the spark plug boots (which are inline coils).
The only wear items other than tires has been brake shoes front and back, rear pivot bearings and battery.

There's something else about our R's that make them stand out in the BMW line. Besides the tank being metal, they don't have the ugly camel hump that all of the new BMW tanks have (even though some are not even tanks now). Does'nt make sense to me how you move the tank to the rear of the bike like s...

How do you expect acceleration to be form the 800cc twin compared to our R1150R bikes? I really like what I see of the 800's, but I don't want a bike any slower than the R1150R.

From what I understand the Two Brothers kit is also a cat eliminator.

The one I like is "You'd better get some guards for those heads in case you have to lay her down".

I explained I have no intentions of "laying her down". She stops must faster on rubber tires.

Exhaust question

How does the Two brothers exhaust set up sound on the R1150R? Anyone installed this set up?

I'm sure I used 13mm fuel injector clamps on my 04 next to the quick disconnects.

The stains on my transmission case are not too bad I guess, but I see them. It left brown streaks.

Replacing the clamps on the right side of the bike at the quick disconnects does not require draining the tank. Just have a rag ready because you will get a little bit out of the lines but it will stop.

But to answer your question, yes you can do it without disconnecting the lines.

Unfortunately I haven't figured a way to remove those stains on the transmission case made by the leaking gasoline. I think the gasoline damages the clear coat.

clamps

13mm or 14 mm will work, and you can get them at most autoparts stores. Down here we have Autozone auto part stores, and they all have them. You'll need some end cutters to get the OEM clamps off. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0003J27VI/qid=1134735100/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-2043168-4602419?%5Fenc...

Thanks for the replies, I'll just replace the fuse anyway and see if that does it. I have 45,000 miles on it so I am out of warranty. If the fuse doesn't fix it, I'll explore further when I take the tank off at the 48,000 mile service.

Heated grips not working

Heated grips not working. First time I've tried them since last winter when they worked fine. I checked the fuse and it looks fine.
Anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks

Does anyone know how the sales numbers are for the R1150R compared to other models. I believe the GS is the top seller, but where does the R1150R fall?
