Given the huge crowds, a carrier would work better than a stroller. There are improvements being made, but many of the pathways are not paved. A stroller would be a problem in those conditions, I think. Oh, and be sure to do more than adequate sunscreen and hat and coverups. The breeze may blow cool...

I voted for Vale, because he is the best of the field historically. But I think there are some other strong contenders - and I wouldn't count Gibernau out all together. Capirossi, Hayden, and Pedrosa are strong. The Ducatis are amazingly well sorted this year, so I'd keep an eye on Loris and Sete si...

Congratulations. Life will now be much more complicated but simplified too. A happy healthy child is a great achievement under any circumstances.

So we're basically back to Pat's "love it or leave it" statement. As a long time member, I am just a bit disturbed about that.

Well, I don't remember disputing your argument about pricing....

This is really disappointing, though. 22K for a roadburner with roundel? I'm pretty sure I won't be doing much more than sitting on one at the dealership...mebbee take that "test" ride...

I really don't need any thanks. I just thought y'all would like to know that it is doing a land office business. 3.6Gigs of images is something else, considering the disparate bunch we are. Aside from viewing linked images, it's kinda neat to just go and cruise the whole magilla. There are some pret...

Smugmug stats

I thought y'all might like to have some idea of what the traffic is on the http://r1150r.smugmug.com image site. There are 5472 images, using 3.6 GigaBytes of space. So far in December 20641 images have been viewed. And we've used 1.42GigaBits of bandwidth. Which means we've gone over quota a little...

Now you certainly leave your battery on a proper trickle/float charger "24/7" if you wish, but in the end you are only shortening its service life (optimally an eight to twelve year design life, though three to ten is more realistic) by generating excess heat. My god, three to ten years! ...

On the topic of air in the tyres (note correct spelling, I mean really) I have it on good authority that nitrous oxide is the best filler for tyres. Puts a bit of spring back into a subject that we keep going round and round on. Makes the ride wonderfully lighthearted and carefree. Almost painless!

Seattle International MC Show -brief

Well, we went. It was a motorcycle show. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Highlights: Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda had huge displays with bikes, scooters and ATVs. The Ducati display was small but well rounded. The Paul Smarts are out. The ST3 was nice, but tall. The Aprilia/Guzzi dea...
