My r1150r was built in July of 03, and sold as an '04 model...It has the stainless brake lines..& may possibly be an early version of it's kind sold in the US...

Are ContiForce tires still available?.... I've gotten really good milage from them..6,000 miles so far, and good tread left. These are touring tires, and not for the sport crowd..(the r1150r is a touring bike..isn't it?... ).

I have a set of Flanders bars on my r1150r from a K-100..8-1/2"h. and 12"pullback. (arthritis is a bitch!) All the lines can be relocated, and work well ..except.. a new front brake line is required.

..which side did you lay the bike on when you ran out of gas?...I'm new, and probably missed out on some info...

If ugliness is not a factor, you may want to look into the Parabellum Tall windshield. Adding a Laminar Lip and tank wings kept me from selling my R a few years ago. The buffeting was loosening my teeth. Ugly is not a factor with me!!!...but Anthony, could you please tell me which (of the many) lami...

32 mpg? Yes, .... I've seen that mileage many times with city driving, but, it's around 42 mpg with just a bit of highway driving thrown in. These r1150r's aren't gas savers..without some right wrist help...

I've never heard of an aircooled (or air-oil cooled) engine blowing because of the wrong oil, have you?......no oil, yeah!
