Re: Potential new R12R rider...

I have the 2007 non ABS no fuel gauge or oil pressure indicator, have 112000km and goes very well still. I reset the trip meter every time I fill up and find the fuel light that comes on at about 60km left is quite accurate. I have had lots of BMW but this 1200r has been in the shed for 10 years , b...

Re: Is anyone ever here?

Still on my 2007R just over 100,000km with no issues. Done a few long trips lately and heading off to far north Queensland in just over a month. Had this bike 9 years now, by far the longest I have ever had a bike and cant see any reason to change. Also have Hyper pro suspension which is great. Also...

Re: Another Tire Thread

PR4's here and i'm loving them , best wet tyre I have had for ages. Hope I can get the milage they claim. Been using PR2's up till now. I get at best 10000km (6000m) out of rears and 15000km for the front.

Re: Bad - Ignition Switch? Anntena?

I had a similar issue on my 07 some years ago ,however it wasn't cutting out while mobile ,but lots of on/off with the key to get ignition. Under warranty they put in a new ignition barrel and no trouble since. A friend had similar intermittent problems with his 1150 rockster recently and was worn p...

Re: R1200R Metisse

With the riding position, why not just buy a 1200S- the exhaust is in the right position and looks right. Or go all the way and get a HP2 :D Gibbo

Re: Rear Drive Failure

A guy who occasionally comes on a club ride had this happen to his bike , it may well be the bike, guess what he replaced it with ? a camhead GS . It might be his bike as he has the same brand of pannier. Next time I see him on a club ride I'll try and get some details. Oh yes my R has 42000km and n...
