Re: Looking for couples who each ride a motorcycle

My current wife only weighs about 100 lbs so its about like carrying my camping gear with her on the back, but my 2nd and 3rd wife (same person) had her own bikes and rode separately, although only on short day rides. She gave up riding altogether after she went wide on a switchback in Arkansas and ...

It's only about 30 minutes total. Then scroll down below the player and leave me a comment. Someone just emailed me and s...

Re: Changed fuel line quick-connectors, now it won't start.

If I recall correctly, the first time I changed out the internal fuel filter a couple of the internal fuel line clamps were very easy to get loose...as in untight...loose as a goose. Maybe with the jostling around one came off or something. You said you had it started up after adding the new QDs the...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

Shout out to Cyclerob! I have an episode recording session lined up for Tuesday Dec 1 with my two brothers discussing Christmas Trees. After that I will need a guest to interview for publication about the middle of December. Give me a call and let's line it up. Any other R1150R members who would lik...

Re: Do we need more users?

It's a two-edged sword. This forum would not exist without users, period. However, with new users comes increased costs and responsibilities. This is true with any venture. I don't think Doug would mind at all promoting the R1150R.net forum anywhere online, but I may be wrong. The upside to a renewe...

Re: Clutch master cylinder problem

Its been quite some time since I worked on my R1150R hydraulic clutch but If I recall correctly, the fluid bleed lug only bleeds the fluid through the line from the master cylinder to that lug. It doesn't bleed out the slave cylinder underneath the bike. I may be wrong on that, but riceburner is cor...

Re: Possible Electrical Glitch

Well, some time has passed and more miles on Lil Chubb. The aforementioned "glitch" continued to occur unpredictably at odd times with no discernible pattern to it...so like any good motorcyclist, I just continued to ride. Haha At any rate, I went to Hungry Mother for the annual soire in A...

Re: Motorcycle Related Podcast

My co-hosts and I are taking a new approach to the Slablog podcasting recording activity. We've decided to get together each Tuesday morning about 7am and hash out life's issues. The subject could be motorcycles, or guns, or cars, or anything that we wind up talking about. I will have a phone hooked...

Podcast Featuring Riceburner

A few weeks ago I published a two part podcast with Towerworker as my guest. Another prominent member of our forum contacted me about also appearing on the show as a guest from another land, and we recently used a Skype call as a way to record our conversation. We all have known riceburner for a whi...

Absolutely! The toughest part of this activity is coordinating all participants' attendance. With 3 hosts its not always the guest who is missing. LOL

I'll let you know when we plan to get together again.
Thanks Mark

Re: Clutch Slave Cylinder

Photoguy, It has been a while since I had my R1150R and worked on that SC, but I DID take it off and Cyclerob and I did the preemptive hack on it to avoid the dreaded DOT4 fluid migration over to the clutch plates. The problem being, that the seal would leak and the fluid would find its way along th...

Re: 2020 Georgia Mountain Rally, Hiawassee, Georgia May 1st to 3rd 2020 - Registration Open

This is posted at the BMW Georgia Club web site rally page. Looks like the GMR is postponed til next May 2021. 8) our best course of action for everyone is to hold the 30th Georgia Mountain Rally the weekend of May 7th through May 9th, 2021. While nothing in this life is guaranteed, this plan will a...

Episode 13 has been published! We spoke for a bit with our very own JB44 from here on the Board. JB was one of the original attendees at the first Bash, and we spoke about his experience at that time...It wasn't pleasant, but we talked about it anyway. My brothers enjoyed the story. Take a few minut...
