Re: Raingear
I'd like to comment about gloves. Try and find a pair that doesn't use Thinsulate. If your hands are the least bit damp you'll find they are very difficult to put on,very.

Re: after market slip-ons?
Ditto on the Leo Vince. I have all carbon fiber, very well constructed. Not to loud but can be made louder by removing the baffle. Also the muffler once installed follows the frames angle, others don't and the look is not the best. Install is simple and everything fits as it should.

Re: Speaking of seats...
I think the ground to seat measurements are given on the spec sheet for the R. I measured my seat against that dim. and found it to be spot on. Yes, but how is the measurement made? From what point on the seat? With the bike in which position (side stand, center stand, or balanced on-center)? With ...

Re: Speaking of seats...
I think the ground to seat measurements are given on the spec sheet for the R. I measured my seat against that dim. and found it to be spot on. I ended up buying the mid height seat which was not offered in 08 from the factory, it was either high or low. I, like you, wanted to verify which seat I ha...

Re: Gas Gauge Failure?
Mine has a similar issue. The gage reads full with a 1/4 black band at the top with the lines underneath. Sometimes it reverts back to the correct display, all lines. Presently it has 1/2 tank and the black bar at the top was showing for 25 minutes before all lines appeared.

Re: Software Update
At my 600 mi service the dealer mentioned the software update but they had had problems after the install and thought it would be a good idea to wait. My bike has no issues, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Re: Rain-X on BMW Windshield?
Plexus is another product that was developed for aviation and can be used on paint as well as windshields. Use a cloth instead of paper to clean and makes small scratches less visible. Good stuff.

Re: Muffler
Thus is the note I got from Leo Vince:"Our pipes fit like the stock ones, so we think there are not problem with the bags, even if we are not sure 100% because the bike that we used to develop our exhaust had not the bags."
Ciao!

Re: Muffler
ChiTown, I did see this one on Utube, but the Evo II carbon is different. The muffler is smaller in dia. and the connector pipe is bent as such to give the muffler more of an angle, it matches the frame angle perfectly and that angle might make an interference fit with the bags.

Re: Muffler
ChiTown, I did check Utube but no luck. I did, however find a Spanish forum and translated one post by someone who was not happy because the bags didn't clear. Not sure if it was the same muffler I want.

Muffler
Has anyone fitted a Leo Vince Evo II carbon muffler? The US factory says they don't know if it clears the BMW luggage or not. What kind of an answer is that?? Thanks.
