Re: glove suggestions
I like the BMW "allround" glove.. similar to my old ones. but not much on reviews.. I'm glad you said that, because that's exactly what I would recommend, they even match your criteria to a 'T'. I have a pair, it's at least my 3rd pair* and I love them. Reminds me - I must buy a couple of...

glove suggestions
Being that much of my gear was in my panniers when the bike was snagged, Im in need of some riding gloves. Mine were a cheap ebay leather pair. had them for 8 yrs, loved them too, but they were pretty beat up... lol Looking for similar but nicer. I like some of the BMW ones but I think 100 bucks is ...

Re: Stinky Drippy Smoky
A bit of excitement for you diehard board members: slow motion video of my best crash ever! I gave myself a thumbs up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpFrolho3yg GoPro was attached to Rockster instrument cover. Yes, the bike landed on me... right side valve cover and handlebar were on asphalt surf...

Re: Stinky Drippy Smoky
... and without peels' peer pressure to urge my needed final drive leak repair, I did the next best thing: crashed Rockster2. The bike and I each did a forward flip, with bike landing on me. Such affection and closeness. There's oil oozing on one side near cylinder now. WOW that was NOT the type of...

Re: Stinky Drippy Smoky
its minor. the boot is(or was lol) dry. replaced output seal anyways since it was apart.. I replaced the input shaft seals. Because of the slave failure....it was also dry in there last time i checked. replaced that neutral switch seal too. twice. to no avail. is the switch itself bad? lol i used a ...

Re: Anyone still here?
My K was equipped with Shorai battery installed by original owner. I installed sealed lead acid later, Yuasa or equivalent. Like you, I'm thinking of selling the mighty K. Excellent road trip bike, but the Rockster can serve that function admirably (though less swiftly), and I'm getting my performa...

Re: Stinky Drippy Smoky
re-re-re-RE visiting. :) 4 yrs on, bike still drips gear oil. lol man am I on top of things!! my only thought is its leaking from the neutral switch. no oil from the output. no oil from the input. I replaced all those seals though....so my concern is a buggered up the area around the neutral seal. b...

got sentimental today. Re: True or false ?
I do it.
changing a valve gap will change the intake timing/pressure slightly. keep all things equal.
way overdue for both.

Re: HELP! 2002 R1150r Problem
carknut, Surprising that nobody mentioned the TB synch hose vacuum caps on the intake manifold bottoms, especially on a 16 year old bike. They can still be in place but severely cracked, which also could happen "all-at-once" during a heat cycle. If there are hoses instead of cap-offs, rem...

Re: Snap crackle and POP!
mine does this a sometimes during summer if its hot, and only turned off briefly. Immediately obvious to me it was a pre ignition issue. I always imagined it just has to do with where in the revolution the engine stopped.... dont consider it harmful.
