Re: R1200R leg protectors to eliminate noise/buffeting
So you're happy with the Parabellum? i have a Parabellum scout fairing and although i love the way it looks it just doesn't work that well for me. i have tried three different height screens on it but it is still very noisy and there is quite a bit of buffeting. it's a shame to as it really enhance...

Re: R1200R leg protectors to eliminate noise/buffeting
i have recently put a madstad windshield on my bike but it's been too cold to ride, was 6 degrees when i got to work the other morning and snow expected today. the madstad i have on my F650GS twin is perfect so i'm hoping the one i put on my R1200R will work as well.

Re: R1200R leg protectors to eliminate noise/buffeting
Don, it's not so much the protection that i want but i am trying to get a quiet non buffeting ride. i have tried windshields from MadStad, CalSci, a Parabellum Scout fairing, two different version of Cee Baileys and nothing has given me that quiet ride i am looking for. i emailed the company that se...

R1200R leg protectors to eliminate noise/buffeting
has anyone used these leg protectors? a guy i know told using them will eliminate the noise/buffeting that comes from the air coming around the tank on the R12R. as much as i like my R12R i can't seem to get a quiet, buffet free ride i have been hoping for no matter what windshield i try. i am think...

ABS/battery issue
coming home from a short overnight trip recently on my 2007 R1200R my ABS light (brake failure) came on. i stopped and turned the bike off, restarted it and the light went off. for the past few days i have not had this issue again, although the past few times i have hooked the bike up to the battery...

Re: Don C block help needed
SUCCESS !!!!! i was able to get the Don C block installed and what a difference it made. prior to installing the Don C block my Cee Bailey's windscreen was virtuously useless. it was noisey and the buffeting was horrible. now there is no buffeting at all, even at speeds up to 90mph. last week i went...

Re: Recommend Me a Helmet!
i use an extra small schuberth C3 and love it. it is quiet enough to use without earplugs around town, although i always use earplugs if i am going to be riding for over an hour or going to be on the interstate for any amount of time.

Re: what to do....
instead of a booster plug on my 2011 F650GS twin i bought a similar product from an inmate who makes them on the ADV boards called a Power Controller and am very happy with it. i will be getting another for my R1200R.

Re: R1200R 2009 K&N air filter
i have a K & N on my 2007 and it does not run any hotter. my bike has the stock exhaust and it does back fire a little on deceleration but it always did that. a power commander or similar devise should solve that problem.

i have never dealt with the dealer in NYC but Max in Brookfield CT is very good, you might want to let them take a look at the bike if you can't solve the problem yourself.

Re: 12,000 Mile Update & Other Stuff
i have aux lighting on my R1200R from motobozo. not very expensive but look and work very well. i just ordered a parabellum scout fairing for my bike and the motobozo lights won't work with the scout so i think i will get a set of caliper mount motolights. i also have a pair of Denali lights from tw...
