Breather pipe
Hi people, sorry, got another question. My r1100r has a worn alternater support cover. Yeah the whole aluminium cast front piece of the bike. Last owner used the bike just to drive around in salt water by the looks of it. Now this bike has the breather pipe that almost hugs the alternatorbelt. It's ...

So I know the r1150r arm fits on the r1100r, but that thing is expensive! Even second hand.
Does anyone know if the r1200's A-arms also have the same dimensions?

Re: Has anyone replaced the R/L oil cooler banks with a sing
I did it as well. I have a R1150gs cooler on there. The thing is the tubing. I had to use quite an amount of couplings to get to the right size. But maybe my store was just badly stocked. Watch out as there are similair threads that seem to fit, but they don't. Ruining the thread in your block is co...

Re: Recovering Jap Rider, my 1st Beemer, 1996 R1100R
you can buy the Acerbis Dual Road handgaurds (ik think you need the RT model, of maybe some tinkering of yourself) they come with LED, for indicators, but also white. I have those and they make me a lot 'wider' when driving by night and hence waaaay better so see by other roadusers. I wouldn't want ...

Re: Here it is!
Thanks! Joelh, this screenmounting has 3 'arms'. With a little bending you can use the long bolts going through the handlebars to mount those two. The middle mount has a tube on it which exactly touches the keylock cylinder I put a large hose clamp around both and it is secured really tight. So it's...

Re: Buy 96 or 00 ?
If you inspect them, you'll notice the '96 had a different dashboard (by many deemed way prettier) this also means most importantly that the 00 model has a updated gearbox which fixed some major issues. Well maintained beemers can ride a lot of miles so I'd go for the 00 model, but i cant see them. ...

Here it is!
Finally here is my R850R it already has 103000km but still going strong for another 100k! Before I bought a bike people here advised me to get a GS because of my 6'8" (2.03) stature, which wasnt a bad a idea, I just dont like the bike. So I found a guide to switch to GS suspension and pegs, did...

Re: R850R sometimes running on 1 leg
Hej Oli, thanks for the tip. I allready made sure it wasnt sparking, but it was hard to see because it sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I just removed the bobine and unplugged the sparkplugcables there and it was quite corroded. Cleaned it, but wasn't really consent with the way they looked so ...

Re: R850R sometimes running on 1 leg
Thanks Oliver, I misread the post or just wasn't there when I reply'd. That was one of the first things I changed was the paralever arm. I tried to put some pictures here from picasa but it didn't work and the new windscreen and paintjob are almost done now, so when he's all happy and finished I'll ...

Re: R850R sometimes running on 1 leg
I'll make some pics when he weather gets better here. I have GS footplates and GS middle and side standard. I didn't change the A-arm, I thought these were the same, but is the GS's actually shorter? Thanks for all the advise, I'll have a look at all that (If I can translate and find it) and see if ...

R850R sometimes running on 1 leg
Hello people. So I almost completely had my bike apart and together again. I really wanted a bmw and I really didn't want a GS1100 with the beak and was low on money. Oh and I'm 6'8" so I converted a 100k r850r with gs suspention and footrestplates to an awesome handling and driving bike that i...

Re: OIL Filter removal issue
yeah my local car shop had something that should fit, it did fit on the new filter but was juuuuust to wide to fit the old one inside the block. I took a little sandpaper (the version on cloth, not paper) folded it once and filled the tool with it and slid it on there. That worked. I also had to use...

Hello there, does anyone know this windscreen
I saw this bike for sale and wanted to know if anyone knows this windscreen. http://www.anbergenmotoren.nl/hexon/fotos/5383441-1.jpg At the moment i have a puig small screen that is mounted with my front light, but I find it kind of thin and have quite some turbulence at 100kmh+ speeds. This one loo...

handlebar risers
Hey all. I am wondering if anyone knows of handlebar risers for a r850r facelifted model. I bought some of ssr on ebay because they said they would fit, but they don't. I need ones that not only place the handlebars back a bit but a bit wider too so they will fit next to the dash. I can always go fo...

Duc750, those handguards are those the GS's? Or other ones? I don't seem to find many fitting handguards online, I've seen the ones from wunderlich and they look nice, but at wunderlich prices...
