Re: twin cam exhaust?

Exhaust on
Was going for a imported pipe but once the duty is added and other fees it would of been not much cheaper.
Akroprovic in end and got a good deal.
Baffle out straight away.
No difference in power but sounds nice.
Not over loud either.

Re: BMW R1200 2009 VS BMW 2011 is it worth upgrading

Hi all I sold my 09 plate 1200 r two years back and only bought so I could ride after having a hip replaced. I was using a gs previous up untill the surgery. Re: bmw HP 2 sport

The hp2 is a awsome bike . can't really compare the r1200s to it.may look simular and thats it. Not a bike to go touring on. They are a great handling bike.not the fastest but awsome otherwise. All adjustable bars footrests. Now few years on the value is going up by the minute. Not a bike to commute ...

twin cam exhaust?

Hi all Going to rid my 1200r of the boat anchor exhaust, please what have you used for this twin cam model. Must be something cheaper than a akroprovic. Last 1200r 2009 bike I used a lazer hotcam. This model seems more limited. Not bothered about gaining hp just a little lighter and more noise. Chee...

Re: Oil Change Question

hi if you are going to use over the winter few times , i would wait to spring as it will get some condensation in it ,clean or dirty and then have to be changed in spring anyway. starting the bike every few weeks is the worst scenario out as it does not get hot and causes condensation build up , a g...

Re: Observations On My 2012 R1200R…

hi blair the twins do use oil , this is quite normal , its only cheap stuff anyway , once the bike hits 20000 miles it will be run in proper well and no oil use , my first gs 1200 adv used to drink it , 1 litre to a 1000 mile ,slowed down to 500 ml after 7000 miles,if i used to red line it the oil w...
