Re: Recall done today in N Mexico!
Mine is done as well but bike is still at dealer as I developed an oil leak between the left cylinder and engine casing which is being fixed as we speak.
Hopefully back on the road soon.

Question about Warranty
I have a 2011 R1200R Classic that I just dropped off for my 10K service and fuel pump recall. I noticed last fall before storing for the winter that there was something dripping onto my exhaust header (Just below the left side of the oil cooler onto the cross member of the exhaust) I have never actu...

Re: What are your Wunderlich Trophy fairing impressions?
I love mine! Not only does it look great IMO but it also the best screen I've used so far. It takes all the wind off my chest and there is very little buffeting for me personally. I am 5'11-6'. Quality is also top notch! A few gratuitous pics ;) http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r636/DHooper71/Big...

Booster plug-N/A dealers
Anyone know of any North American dealers that sell the booster plug or is Europe the only way to get it?

Re: Barbacks on '11+ - GPS mount, line length?
Hey SF I actually just put those risers (Touratech) on my bike last week. I love them. I was not uncomfortable with stock height but at times I found myself saying I wish I was a tad more upright. Went for a nice 250 mile run up MT Baker yesterday and did not notice any difference in handling. I ord...

Re: The R1200R Photo Discussion Thread!
So..... went to the dealer last weekend...... came home with a bike. *Not* planned. The free luggage deal from BMW was too good to ignore. Oh, who am I kidding. I loved the bike. Put the first mile on it. Within five I was figuring out how to pull it off. Bags come in next week, sport screen, engin...

Re: Camera mounting?
Hey SF
I'm going for a short ride shortly and will take some footage for you to see. I like it tilted back so you see more scenery than bike. I'd say about the bottom 1/3 is bike, gauges etc and the rest is scenery.

Re: Camera mounting?
I use the Chest mount by GoPro. Provides a real good angle of view (road & controls) but is VERY stable. Not a lot of movement like helmet mounted which can sometimes be nauseating. I haven't found anything bike mounted I like wiout too much vibration etc.

Tell me I'm crazy.....or not!
I have the BMW factory luggage (Side & Topcase) and I do like it but I am not particularly happy with their shape (Front of sidecase is round and I don't find it visually pleasing) and topcase is quite small. I have been toying with the idea of purchasing the Trax cases for the bike. Some of the...

Re: Beautiful weather=long ride
Wow what great photos, looks like it must have been a very nice ride. I especially like this one: http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r636/DHooper71/Duffey5_zps071a3c7e.jpg Where is that lake and what mountain is that? Awesome, just awesome. Nice bike too. Edit: is it Mount Garibaldi? That picture ...

Beautiful weather=long ride
The weather here has been fabulous for early May so I took advantage and went for a 600km ride to test my new seat and fairing. The route: http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r636/DHooper71/DuffyLakeLoop_map_zps8035d626.jpg http://i1175.photobucket.com/albums/r636/DHooper71/Duffey1_zps24f33b5d.jpg h...

Re: Wunderlich Trophy Review & New Seat!!
Looks very nice. I really like the seat! Looks like your pic is from the Jericho Beach area? My wife and I lived in Vancouver for about 25 years, a number of which were in the Kits area. That's definitively one beach I miss. Darcy Spanish Banks to be exact. Beautiful area, one of my favorites as we...

Wunderlich Trophy Review & New Seat!!
Well had my first chance to go for an extended ride with the new Trophy fairing and I have to say, for me, it is just about perfect:clap There is no wind blast on my chest and no buffeting around my helmet. I have the regular wind noise from doing 75MPH but not rough air. I prefer to stay off the in...
