Well that's green valve caps down south in Texas on my car.. Things are probably different in Derbyshire and everywhere else. Texas is different on many levels.

Re: Nitrogen in tires.

I am not entering the debate, merely pointing the way !!! :D  I like that statement! I can't add to the conversation, but it does raise more questions for me to ask my car shop next time I take my coupe in for it's check up. The last time I took it in, I notice my tire valve stem caps had been...

Doc - your ride reports are always the best. I'm enjoying this one the most I think (minus any derogatory remarks about Texas!).
Unless I missed it, you did not say whether or not your dinner at the New York Hill was good or not.

Re: Travels with Stella!: Occupy New Mexico & a little Az.

What? No report about Llano? Llano is sweet! Seriously - that was an excellent report. I'd say the best yet in the Travels with Stella! I certainly found some new places to add to my list of places to see while passing through NM. The photography was the best yet also. Thanks for taking the time to ...

I was reminded after reading about the Bosque del Apache refuge that there is a wintering ground for Whooping Cranes not f...

Great report still and great photos.

How many miles could you go with the spare fuel in those canisters on the back of your side cases?

Re: Travels with Stella!: Occupy New Mexico & a little Az.

I had the road to myself, though I soon started getting to small Native American communities, school was letting out, and I remember this as being pretty cool. All the kids, grade school, hurrying off the bus, with me on a red motorcycle, them looking and me remembering how it was to be 9 and seein...

So you didn't see any ghosts? Did it have a creepy feel to it like Mesa Verde did for you on one of your other trips?

It's just one of those stick on roundels that usually go on helmets. I think I ordered it from Sierra BMW.

Thanks for the kind comments. It was an awesome month in Wyoming!

Re: Max speed rating of system cases?

I agree with NoRRmad. I read that in the system case manual. However, I have also tested the cases at sustained speeds over their recommendation with no problems. (I'm so over those speeding days now though). [-X

Re: Autumn Alpine Adventure

That was a great ride report. The mountains are beautiful and the roads look supreme. I noticed the Jetboil....... and then a couple of photos later; china? You packed china for your tea? :D That's great! I love the color of the R1200R. If I were ever to trade my 1150 on a 1200 - - that would be the...

Re: Turned a business trip into an adventure!

Great report and great photos, Jim! And your first report too? I know it takes a lot of time and effort to put together a report. Thanks for taking that time. I've been on many of the roads you mention and it was fun for me to see the photos recalling memories of rides there. I agree with your asses...
