Re: another abs flashing brake failure
similar thing happened to me after i dropped my bike. i went to a bmw mechanic - not a dealer - who was able to reset the abs somehow. he charged me very little, and it took a very short time. what worries me is what if that happens on a long trip, far from any dealers, etc. do you have a gs? i rea...

Then I removed, inspected and reinserted all the relays and fuses just to make sure there's no electrical issue, plus that's as much as I can d...

Re: new vibration after a dropped bike
i dropped my 1150r on the right a week ago, and the weird vibration after that too. the only thing scratched up is the valve guard, the bar end is not touched. the only thing I checked was the valve clearance, which is good. haven't done anything else yet. my battery works fine though. on a journey ...

Re: Low seat option
I think there are 3 options, low, standard, and high.
remember reading somewhere else on the forum that the low seat is the factory option in the US
also read somewhere else that some folks just bought one of those gel cushions to prop up the seat height

I ride hard too. but that raises another question. why would riding style affect how much oil it burns? i ride my vfr hard too and the oil level is always pretty constant.. this is a beemer feature? jut wondering

Boxer motors will burn oil the first 20+k of their lives, give or take a few k, depending on break in and usage.
