Re: Looking at buying this on Friday

Looks like a good deal. Its a great bike, but I started out with a much smaller one. The rider course I took was on a 250cc Honda.
Good luck,

Re: 02 R1150R ABS problem update

took the bike to Boxer works in Watkinsville, Ga. They said their gs911 said high pressure in the front circuit. No rebuild available for this model and doesn't seem to be any used parts either.

02 R1150R ABS problem

Sorry to post another ABS issue, but I've run out of things to check after looking at all the posts. needed a new battery. Replaced with Westco from Beemer boneyard. seems to work fine. while I had the tank off, I decided to do the brake fluid flush/fill/ bleed procedure documented. now, on switch o...

Re: sleepy battery today

my battery is also slowly fading away, but I want to wait until next season to buy a new one. I've found the easiest way to charge is to remove the starter cover - 1 screw, left side. I hook my positive charger clamp there and the negative to an engine bolt and charge for a couple of hours before I ...

Re: 2002 Piedmont Red r1150r

sounds a bit high to me; for example

I also have a 2002 and the color is called sienna red I believe. I think piedmont red was the 2004 color. Could it be a 2004 model? could explain the price diff.

Re: Newbie ?'s

Hi, Mike. I have an 02 1150 r that I keep in Lavonia, ga. I typically ride either up towards clarkesville, 197, clayton area or on the SC side up 76 or 28. Looking forward to two longer rides in August; I plan to meet up with some folks near Franklin for the Hungry mother ride from this site and the...

Re: Hungry Mother 2012

I'm interested, but I'm relatively new at this and have tended to fall behind on other group rides.
Is there a group heading up from ATL and / or a preferred route?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Interested in Purchasing 2003 R1150R w/ 24k Miles

looks a lot like my bike! I agree with previous post on the kbb price. I was surprised at your comment about brakes. Mine has ABS and stops in a HURRY! Does this one have ABS? perhaps it was removed? could be the source of the different feel

Re: 2002 R1150R Value

I paid somewhat less for mine a little over a year ago in the Southeast. A couple of suggestions on pricing: try cycletrader and see how prices are running there and go on ebay and look at completed listings that sold. asking prices and dealer prices may be significantly higher than actual selling p...

Re: Charging the battery of a 2002 R1150R

I've also heard that you can remove the starter cover on the left side near the power outlet and use the connection there that has a heavy gauge wire direct to the battery for both charging and jumping. Have not tried that yet, but plan to

Re: Parabellum Installed - First Impressions

I'd love to see a pic of that shield. I have an 02 1150r with a 23" parabellum tinted shield. I think I'd prefer clear and the 23 is a little tall for me.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: bmw r1150r fairing trade

I'm confused I think. What do you mean by fairing? windshield? I have a red 2002 1150r with a 23'' tint parabellum super tour shield that is too tall for me. I'd like to swap for one at least 2" shorter. Let me know if interested

Re: MRA VarioScreen again

I like the looks of yim4's varioscreen; clear with the tint across the bottom. Do they come that way? I've seen other pics that don't appear to have the bottom tint.

Can you give an update on how you like after having it a year?

Thanks,
Snave
