Coming from a Harley mentality I'm hoping for an R 1400R Retro water head! cafe racer!!! No excuse for cubic inches and HP??

Sounds fun, my 09 has done 130 many times with ease. My only question is Pushrods??? These are OHC motors, I'm confused..

I'm in SE Iowa with an 09 Base model. Black 14k miles staintune muffler, Sargent seat conversion MRA vario windscreen. All maintenance is done to the letter. $8000.00.

I'm looking at RT's due to knee probs. My beloved 09 will be on the market soon with only 14k on the clock. Base model with a few farkles.... $8,000.00

Mine went through the 12K sync of TB's and clearing of codes with a booster plug no prob.. I was amazed after the T.B sync how she preformed awesome throttle response and rool on. Me LIkey

Any one tried Shinkos yet? I have a set on my Harley and they are working well. thinking about a set for my R1200???

I need to install the used one I bought from one of our members here! Was it easy to mount? I'll probably need some longer fastners??

I just got my 09 back from the dealer, 12K syncing TB and clearing codes. This bike amazes me how it preforms WOW. It shares time with my Harley but when Wisconsin calls I'm usually on my R12. Were is Holy Hill road? What part of the state??

Eight year old Dane here. She's having disc problems in pain alot, not fun...

I use a soft hoop shaped brush I got at auto zone gets in tight places and works great. It does the fins, wheels and is a must in my cleaning bucket, cheap too...

Local add I saw a twin max for $80 dollars. I'm getting close to my 12k service and my local dealer has shown little interest in me or my motorcycle "sad". I've always done the service on the Harley, I suppose it's time to do more than just adjust valves and change fluids on my R??

I love my 00 FLHT. I'm fortunate to have the best of both worlds, I love twin cylinder motorcycles!! I did ride an XR 1200 this weekend, wow pretty impressive ride.. My buddy put an exhaust and a power commander and its very spirited for a V twin.

Do I replace it first, or just cover it for now. Money is tight buying new house

After a spirited 200 mile ride yesterday I was cleaning the bug stuff off, noticed the lens is cracked dead center. Even when my boys were growing up I kept riding when I could. I remeber alot of friends who got rid of bikes because of family and they regretted it. Now i go riding with my son. He takes the Harley and the ol man leads the charge on the R-1200.
An occasional ride is better than none.....
