I for one can do without F.I. most of the time. I spend my working time with 43 of my best friends fixing German cars with all kind of FI problems,so it is nice to tear into a carb once and awhile and jet it, clean it what have you. 6'4" I wish, heck my wife wishes. I am 5'9" 30"...

It was just time for a change and I wanted a big dirtbike. The new GS just not do it for me,too high tech and too...

The clamps are 8mm or 5/16".
If you are in a bind you can find them at any German auto dealer as they are very common..
If all else fails BMW uses them on the fuel lines for the older K series.

This morning as I waited to cross the street a cell phone talking ,SUV ,driving pinhead decided to pull a U-turn at a high rate of speed to grab an open parking spot. The problem was he cut right in front of a motorcycle cop. Watching the cop pull over and write that ticket was the highlight of the ...

I guess motorcyclists are good for something?

Motorists need to take it easy on rain-slicked highways Dr. Tom Gross MY DAILY commute lasts about 40 minutes, closer to an hour if there is traffic. There is always traffic. OK, let's say it's an hour. On a typical day, I'll be passed by at least 20 motorcyclists, exercising their discretion to &qu...

Now that I read this post I too had a loose clock at about 8,000 miles. That noise was a deeper buzzing type noise than the loose igntion switch bolt. Whatever you do do not overtighten the bolts at the back of the instrument cluster they will break!

I went through this very thing over the summer. I found the bolt that holds the igntion switch had come loose and the wave washer on ther bolt was buzzing. You have to look behind the headlight and up under the igntion switch to see the bolt,it is a 6mm allen head bolt. My bolt had backed out about ...

Check on your bill and see if they replaced the fuel filter. I know it would have been early, but they may have and if they did they screwed up the sending unit in the tank.
