Hi all, yeah I'm glad I'm still here too. And yes I'm getting back on the horse, just not the one that threw me; it's dead. When the doctors clear me I will drag my 78 R100RS out of the shed and continue riding.
Stay upright, stay safe and ride on.
Cheers

gone not forgotten
Hi folks, it's been a long time since I last posted, though I have been checking in. Well my 2004 rockster is no more. I had a crash December last year and wrote her off. I sustained 12 fractured vertebrae, ruptured spinal cord, snapped ligaments broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Unbelievably, I am ...

Re: shocks
thanks riceburner, I was in contact with Ikon Shocks who used to be Koni Shocks and the only shock they do for the R1150 is the RT shock. They said they could build a shock to the same specification as the Rockster if I sent the original to them. Just wondering if it would be worth sending front and...

Re: Non-ABS Rockster?
Hi Mick, how did you go? What condition was the rockster in? $9,900 is a price that can be knocked a bit me reckons but its low 33,600 might not let it get knocked down to much. Cant tell if it had pannier frames on from the photo. If you need some frames I think I still have a pair in the shed. the...

Re: Non-ABS Rockster?
Hi MIXR, there are three non-ABS models on bikesales.com including the black/bronze one at the ACT dealer you might be looking at. Mine is an 04 model non-ABS new from the factory so they are out there in Oz. Good luck hunting one down budy.

Re: had this happen???
Cut the cable ties from around the headstock, had a good look and the wiring seems to be ok. The outer sheaths aren't worn through and nothing seems perished. Hooked it all back up, took it to the dealer to rectify. Said dealer said "leave it with us and the head tech will look at it". I n...

Re: had this happen???
Cable ties around headstock still in place (sucking in through teeth real quick now). There is some real funky wiring in there alright, along with a very naughty demon. Hooked every thing back up the way it came off. Left it for five minutes, no lights flickerd, no dash lights came on, put the key i...

Re: New owner
gday billbm, good choice of bike. mate, I would fit a bar end cruze control and put a set of michelin pilot road 3' on. I put a set on at 83,000 and it's now got 98,400. a trip to the GP and back to Perth left only the smallest flat spot. Ditch the muffler but keep the cat so you can fit a full size...

sorry ron, i meant the remus used to send my throttle hand numb not the cat. i think the extra weight of the cat deadend the vibes as it doesn't happen with the cat fitted.
