Don you are correct but the thing is I don't want the GPS for directions but to alert me to in pending SPEED CAMERAS and to tell me when I have reached the maximum speed limit with out constantly watching the speedo as hear in the POLICE stat of VIC in Australia the maximum speed limit is 100 KPH an...

You are right of course the plug is on the RIGHT side the problem was I wired my NAVMAN in using the BMW plug with a 12v to 5v adapter but the NAVMAN is the only GPS on the market that you can't get a proper motorcycle mount for so I got a crappy one off the INTERNET and first outing it fell off bra...

Hi can any one tell me what the voltage is coming from the plug under the fuel tanking left side that you plug the BMW GPS pickup in to, is it 12 volt or 5 volt as my GPS requires

Has anyone made or bought a home static balancer for the rear wheel as yet you can by at a reasonable price balancers for front or rear wheels with bearings but not with BIG holes in the middle like ours

Exactly pull the wheel as far as it will go towards you 0 your gauge then push as far as it will go away from you total travel not to exceed 1mm

Thanks for the replies and the photo OMG I found on adventure rider a posted BMW service bulletin and basically the bike is made with top to bottom movement of up to 1MM when measured at the rim and is must be measured COLD no more then 35C but there is to be no movement in the parallel plane I have...

I have some play in my rear wheel when I put the bike on the center stand and grasp the rear wheel top and bottom I can get some movement, a manual I have seems to indicate that the maximum play measured at the rim should be 1mm the bike has only traveled 25000ks and should not have worn the bearing...

Blair I do not know were you are but if you were in Melbourne Australia yes you are expecting to much my dealer took 5 hours to swap a fuel tank on my R1200R they needed an extra day on your bike to cheque the tires and reset the clock

Chipper I have ordered a similar mount it has not arrived yet but my thought were that even if it is crap it is a similar size to the Aqua Box and Ram mount so I can see if it fits the bike and is in a position I like be for spending to much

Rocket is the comfort seat a big improvement for the pillion I can all most live with my bit but the pillion seat is the major problem the 2012 seat dose look better especially the pillion seat dose any one know if the 2012 seat will fit the 06to11 model
